The Farnell design competition is inviting the Electronics design engineers, Students, and Hobbyist to design products using electronics components so that it will positively impact on the environment.

The design submissions are accepted till January 31, 2008, but those who will submit completed design before the last date will enter into the monthly regional draw which is going to held at the end of December 2008. One winner from each region, every month from Asia, Europe, America, and Greater China will receive $2000.

There is a unique prize package for students, and open/general competition. The winner from each competition will receive $25,000 of cash prize(award), and also a unique package of design consultancy & marketing to drive the winning electronics design towards production, and this package of support and service is worth $25,000.
